Mister Air Leases 757 Freighter for Cargo Launch

Mister Air has leased a Boeing 757-200PCF freighter, registration YR-AEA, from AerSale Corporation as it prepares to begin its own cargo operations. The Romanian-registered carrier expects to start commercial service in October 2026 under its own AOC and crew, operating from Łódź, Poland, and focusing on e-commerce parcel routes between Asia, the Middle East, and Central and Eastern Europe. The aircraft is a 2001-built 757-223 that was originally delivered to American Airlines and is powered by Rolls-Royce RB211 engines.
Mister Air’s first dedicated freighter is a 2001-built Boeing 757-223, MSN 32391, originally delivered to American Airlines as N197AN and powered by Rolls-Royce RB211 engines. After passenger retirement, AerSale converted it to a 757-200PCF, fitting a cargo door on the main deck and strengthening the floor.
The Romanian-registered carrier plans to fly using its own operating certificate and flight crew, basing operations at Łódź, Poland. It intends both timetabled and one-off express parcel flights linking Asia, the Middle East, and Central and Eastern Europe, with commercial service targeted for October 2026. AerCommerce manages operations and is a major shareholder, backed by Global Aviation Solutions.
Mister Air’s planned freighter service could affect online shoppers, parcel firms, and exporters in Central and Eastern Europe by adding narrowbody cargo capacity on Asia–Middle East routes. It may give Łódź and Lublin-area logistics networks more options for express shipments, while local employment and airport activity could grow. The impact likely depends on demand, reliability, and competition, so benefits may be gradual rather than immediate.
