Gunna Launches Atlantic-Backed Imprint, Shares Tennis-Star Video
Gunna launched SB The Label in partnership with Atlantic Records on Oct. 9. The imprint's first signees include Casper Bluff, Dracc and Nechie. Gunna also released a video for 'Pop It' featuring tennis player Coco Gauff, ahead of his planned album Splurge.
Gunna’s new Atlantic-partnered imprint, SB The Label, launched Oct. 9. Its initial roster features Casper Bluff, Dracc, and Nechie, who had joined Gunna on 2025’s “I Can’t Feel My Face.” Atlantic Music Group CEO Elliot Grainge praised Gunna’s generational influence. Gunna described the venture as a fresh phase and expanded role.
The “Pop It” visual, directed by Spike Jordan, stars tennis player Coco Gauff and precedes Gunna’s planned Splurge album. His prior record, The Last Wun, arrived in 2025 through YSL and 300 Entertainment, reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200 with 80,000 units, and became his seventh top 10 project. It remains unclear whether future releases will stay with that label setup.
Gunna’s label launch may give emerging artists greater visibility and major-label support through Atlantic. The Coco Gauff cameo could connect hip-hop and tennis audiences, potentially widening cross-cultural reach. For fans and aspiring musicians, it may suggest new routes to industry backing. Whether it changes broader music-business norms remains uncertain, since impact depends on releases and artist development.
