Criminal IP unveils AI-driven threat exposure management platform

Criminal IP by AI SPERA announced AITEM, an AI-powered threat exposure management offering, at GovWare 2026 in Singapore. The company says AITEM expands traditional attack surface management by combining external asset discovery with threat intelligence, dark web data, internal infrastructure, and other exposure sources. Its goal is to help security teams prioritize and respond to risks rather than only identify exposed assets.
Criminal IP, operated by AI SPERA, used GovWare 2026 in Singapore to present AITEM, an AI-supported threat exposure management concept. The offering extends conventional attack surface management past external asset inventories by pulling in threat intelligence, open-source and dark web findings, internal systems, Shadow AI, leaked records, and new vulnerabilities.
AITEM applies AI through four phases: detecting relevant exposures, investigating them with natural-language queries, prioritizing based on organizational criteria and observed attacker activity, and automating alerts or tickets. CEO Byungtak Kang framed the shift as moving from merely observing threats to acting on them.
Security teams may gain clearer prioritization and faster response, potentially reducing breach windows for organizations with large external footprints. Employees, customers, and partners could benefit indirectly if exposed systems and leaked data are addressed sooner. Smaller organizations, however, may struggle to adopt advanced exposure management, and benefits will depend on implementation quality and how attackers adapt.
