India Mobile Congress 2026 Wraps With 5G, AI and Rural Connectivity in Focus

The 10th India Mobile Congress ended on October 10, 2026, after four days of technology demonstrations and policy talks. Its final day highlighted AI in agriculture, youth robotics, autonomous 5G AI agents and last-mile digital access. The event also stressed domestic IP, semiconductor capabilities and next-generation telecom, with discussions on rural broadband financing.
The tenth India Mobile Congress closed on 10 October 2026 after four days under the theme “Scale Without Boundaries.” The final day centered on AI for agriculture, youth robotics, autonomous 5G AI agents, and extending digital access to underserved areas.
The event, opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, also highlighted homegrown intellectual property, semiconductor capacity, and next-generation telecom. Communications Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia set a goal of capturing 10 percent of global 6G patents. An ITU Build-A-Thon examined AI-driven automation for 5G network orchestration, while panels discussed financing rural broadband.
If rural broadband financing and AI tools advance, farmers and remote communities may gain better access to information, markets, and digital services. Youth robotics programs could build skills and future employment pathways. Automated 5G agents may make networks more efficient, though benefits depend on affordability, infrastructure, and digital literacy.
