Syrian Pop Star Nassif Zeytoun to Perform in Morocco's Capital

Syrian singer Nassif Zeytoun is scheduled to perform at the Théâtre Royal de Rabat on 19 December 2026. The concert is set for 8 p.m. local time, with tickets priced from about US$51 to US$202. The venue is the Zaha Hadid-designed theatre in the Bouregreg valley.
Nassif Zeytoun, a Syrian vocalist known regionally as Abu Elias, gained prominence through a pan-Arab talent competition and studied at Damascus’s Higher Institute of Music. His repertoire mixes Levantine traditions with contemporary pop and electronic textures, including songs tied to Arabic television drama.
Rabat’s Royal Theatre, a Zaha Hadid design in the Bouregreg valley, seats 1,821 and hosts opera, dance, theatre and amplified concerts. The promoter calls the December date exclusive; tickets range from MAD 500 to MAD 2,000, with support act and set list still unannounced.
The concert may give Morocco’s Levantine communities and expatriates a rare chance to gather around familiar Arabic pop without traveling abroad. It could also draw local and international audiences to Rabat’s cultural district, supporting nearby hospitality and transport activity. For Syrian residents, the performance may carry social and emotional significance, while the venue’s high profile could reinforce the capital’s image as a regional cultural destination.
