Rosalía Brings Ballet and Onstage Rain to Two LUX Songs on Saturday Night Live
Rosalía appeared as the musical guest on the Oct. 10 episode of Saturday Night Live, performing two songs from her album LUX. She opened with “Reliquia” in a ballet-inspired routine and later sang “Magnolias” while rain fell onstage. The episode marked her second SNL musical performance, and LUX has reached No. 4 on the Billboard 200 while topping several genre and classical charts.
Rosalía's Oct. 10 SNL set featured two LUX tracks. She opened with "Reliquia," using ballet-inspired movement and a dark costume; she had trained with a professional ballerina for choreography on her LUX tour. The song reached Billboard's Hot Latin Songs top 10 in November 2025. Silhouettes of orchestral players appeared behind her.
For "Magnolias," LUX's closing track, she wore a sheer gown as rain began midway. This was her second SNL musical-guest turn; she debuted in 2022 with MOTOMAMI songs and appeared during Bad Bunny's 2021 episode. LUX entered the Billboard 200 at No. 4 and led five charts, including Latin, classical, classical crossover and world albums, after being recorded in 13 languages.
Rosalía's blend of ballet, rain staging, and a multilingual album may broaden audiences for Latin and classical crossover music. Viewers who follow pop, dance, or classical could encounter her work through SNL's large platform. The theatrical presentation may encourage other artists to merge
