Apple's HomeView Hub Said to Launch in Mid-November With Four Color Choices

Apple's new HomeView smart home hub is expected to ship around mid-November, following its planned unveiling at the October 13 event, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. The device is described as a hub centered on Siri voice control with a display and an A18 chip, available in countertop and wall-mounted versions. The countertop model is said to come in space gray, silver, starlight, and pink, while the wall version will be limited to space gray and silver.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports Apple’s HomeView hub should ship around mid-November, roughly a month after an October 13 “Welcome home” event. It follows refreshed Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini models, expected October 30.
The device is described as a Siri-centered smart-home display with an A18 chip. A countertop model with a metal speaker base is said to come in space gray, silver, starlight, and pink; a wall-mounted flat square version is limited to space gray and silver. Gurman says it should sound better than the new HomePod mini. It uses voice primarily, supports touch, offers limited Apple apps, and lacks a dedicated App Store. The HomeView name appeared in a shell company trademark filing reported by MacRumors.
A Siri-focused home display could make voice-controlled routines more accessible for families, older adults, and people with mobility limitations, while centralizing more household data in Apple’s ecosystem. Its limited app support may reduce flexibility for users who rely on other platforms, and the absence of a dedicated store may constrain developers. Whether such hubs meaningfully change daily life may depend on privacy safeguards, interoperability, and how naturally people adopt always-listening devices in shared living spaces.
