Egypt's prime minister reviews investment, industry, and jobs agenda for Egypt Forum 2026

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly met with ministers and officials to review preparations for a session at Egypt Forum 2026 on productive investment, competitive industry, and sustainable jobs. The session will address challenges facing manufacturers and investors, as well as government policies to support industry and ease procedures. It will also cover local manufacturing, private-sector participation, workforce competitiveness, and skills needed by factories.
Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly convened investment, foreign trade, labor, and industry ministers alongside leaders of the Suez Canal Economic Zone, the Arab Organization for Industrialization, and the MSME development agency. They reviewed proposed discussion tracks and papers for an Egypt Forum 2026 session.
The session is expected to examine obstacles facing manufacturers and investors, past gains, and next-stage reforms. It will also consider incentives, simpler procedures, higher output, deeper local manufacturing, private-sector involvement, worker competitiveness, workplace conditions, and training aligned with factory needs.
The forum session could shape how manufacturers, investors, small businesses, and workers experience Egypt’s business environment. If proposed reforms translate into simpler procedures and stronger industry support, factory owners and SMEs may find it easier to expand, while job seekers and employees could benefit from training better matched to factory needs. The emphasis on private-sector dialogue may also influence confidence among local and foreign investors, though actual social effects would depend on implementation.
