CMF launches budget Bluetooth speakers with customizable parts

CMF, the budget brand spun off from Nothing, introduced its first portable Bluetooth speakers. The $59 Speaker S has a 45mm full-range driver and passive radiators, while the $109 Speaker M adds a 10W tweeter and 25W woofer. Both come in four colors and can be customized with 3D-printed panels and knobs.
CMF, a budget-focused offshoot of Nothing now being spun into an India-based standalone company, has entered portable Bluetooth audio with two speakers. The smaller $59 Speaker S uses a 45mm full-range driver and two passive radiators; the $109 Speaker M adds a 10W tweeter and 25W woofer.
Both models are rated for up to 18 hours of battery life, IP68 protection, and tuning via the Nothing X app. Their front panels, top hanging flaps, and control knobs can be swapped, and CMF intends to publish design files so owners can 3D-print replacements. Connectivity includes Bluetooth 6, NFC, Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair, USB-C audio, same-model stereo pairing, and Auracast party mode.
Budget-minded listeners and DIY tinkerers could benefit most, since swappable panels and printable parts may make these speakers easier to personalize and potentially repair. If design files are widely used, 3D-printing communities might extend the products’ useful life, though actual environmental gains would depend on durability and adoption. The combination of low prices, rugged ratings, and party-mode compatibility may also pressure rival portable-speaker makers to offer more customization and features at similar price points.
