Russian missile and drone strikes kill 10, wound 91 across Ukraine; Kyiv hit again

Overnight and daytime Russian attacks across Ukraine left at least 10 people dead and 91 injured, authorities said. Moscow fired 39 missiles and 128 Shahed-type drones, with Kyiv coming under ballistic missile fire for a second consecutive night. In the capital, at least four people were killed and 25 injured, while strikes on energy infrastructure left around 600,000 people without power.
Kyiv came under ballistic attack for a second night in a row. In the capital, four people died and 25 were hurt; a nine-story residential block in Desnianskyi District was struck, killing three women and injuring 24 people, among them a 7-year-old girl. Strikes on power and essential infrastructure cut electricity to roughly 600,000 people.
Elsewhere, a drone hit a university building in Rivne, injuring 25, two critically. Kharkiv region reported nine injured, including a child; Donetsk had three dead and 17 hurt; Zaporizhzhia one dead and three hurt; Lviv three hurt; Dnipropetrovsk two dead and five hurt, including a child.
The attacks may deepen strain on households and communities already facing disrupted power, injury, and loss. With hundreds of thousands temporarily without electricity, daily routines, work, schooling, and access to essential services could be affected. Emergency crews and hospitals may face added pressure, while repeated strikes could heighten fear and uncertainty among residents in Kyiv and other affected regions.
