Walmart Cuts $300 Off Skytech Gaming PC With Radeon RX 9070 XT
Walmart has discounted the Skytech Azure gaming desktop to $1,999.99, a $300 reduction. The configuration includes an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor, Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics, 32GB of DDR5 memory, and a 1TB SSD. IGN has praised the RX 9070 XT as a strong option for 4K gaming.
Walmart’s listing cuts $300 from the Skytech Azure, bringing it to $1,999.99. The desktop pairs a Ryzen 7 7800X3D with a Radeon RX 9070 XT, 32GB DDR5-5600 memory, and a 1TB PCIe 4 M.2 SSD. It also includes a 360mm liquid cooler and an 850W 80Plus Gold power supply.
IGN awarded the RX 9070 XT a 10/10, calling it the only 2025 GPU to earn that score. The site says it can handle demanding 4K games at 60fps or higher and often rivals the RTX 5070 Ti while costing roughly $400 less, though Nvidia retains advantages in DLSS and ray tracing.
Discounts like this could make high-end 4K PC gaming more accessible to shoppers who might otherwise choose consoles or wait. It may also pressure rival retailers and prebuilt makers to adjust pricing, benefiting consumers seeking AMD-based systems. However, such deals may be limited or short-lived, so their broader effect on spending and hardware adoption remains uncertain.
