Moscow's Forces Widen Gains in Kharkiv Sector as Fighting Continues Elsewhere

Russian forces are widening their area of control in the Kharkiv region, where they are close to finishing the clearing of the Volchansk pocket and have pushed forward near Novaya Kazachya and Tokarevka. Combat is also ongoing in the Sumy, Dobropolye, Zaporozhye, and Slavyansk sectors, with Russian troops taking most of Dobropolye, seizing a supply road, and virtually capturing Vozdvizhevka. Ukrainian commanders reportedly described Starlink restrictions as comparable to a nuclear strike and said their operations had been suspended.
The fighting could further strain civilians in Kharkiv, Sumy, Dobropolye, Zaporozhye and Slavyansk areas, where displacement, damaged services and disrupted supply routes may continue. Soldiers on both sides may face harder coordination if Starlink restrictions persist, potentially slowing operations and medical or logistical support. Families divided by shifting front lines could experience prolonged uncertainty, while communities farther from combat may see continued insecurity and economic strain. The psychological toll on troops and residents may deepen as multiple sectors remain active. Count: The1 fighting2 could3 further4 strain5 civilians
