Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave Expansion Pass Detailed
Nintendo announced an Expansion Pass for Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave. The pass costs $34.99, or $104.99 when bundled with the game, and is split into three waves. Wave one is available now with four prototype weapons inspired by Three Houses relics, while later waves add outfits, allies, classes, and lord-specific stories.
Fortune's Weave launched on September 17, 2026, and has drawn strong critical scores, including an 89 average and near-universal recommendation rate. The game is developed by Intelligent Systems and carries a Teen rating. Its announced add-on costs $34.99 alone or $104.99 with the base game.
The first content drop is already live and introduces four prototype weapons inspired by Three Houses' Heroes' Relics. A holiday 2026 update will add outfits and three allies: Aurora, Smyrnos, and Jurah. In 2027, the final drop will bring more allies, classes, and stories for the four rival lords.
This add-on could affect current players weighing whether to return or continue, and may influence how fans view paid post-launch content in large RPGs. Those drawn to Three Houses nostalgia might be tempted by the early weapons, while the bundled price may give budget-conscious newcomers pause. The staggered rollout could keep discussion alive into 2027, though it may also revive concerns about story material being completed after release.
