Some iPhone Duo Pre-Orders Now Arriving Sooner

Some iPhone Duo pre-order customers in the United States and Japan are seeing their estimated delivery windows move earlier. One U.S. buyer's estimate shifted from December to November 20-30, while others reported improvements of several weeks. A Japanese customer now expects delivery on October 24, one day after the device's October 23 launch, as Apple works to fulfill what it called extraordinary demand.
Apple has begun revising delivery windows for certain iPhone Duo preorders placed in the United States and Japan. A prominent U.S. video creator, Matt Gonzalez, reported that his Star White 512GB order moved from a December estimate to November 20–30. Forum users also described improvements, including two orders shifting from December 1–8 to November 16–23.
In Japan, a buyer said an original December 3–10 estimate became October 24, the day after the October 23 launch. Preorders opened Friday, and Apple's store quickly showed new orders slipping to January 25. Apple later said interest was unusually strong. The company has a record of setting conservative delivery estimates for new products.
The earlier arrivals could ease frustration for eager buyers and may reshape resale pricing, as some devices reach customers sooner than expected. Retailers and carriers may face shifting demand patterns around the launch window. For Apple, smoother delivery updates could strengthen customer goodwill during a high-demand cycle, though the effect may be limited to early adopters and may not reflect broader supply conditions.
