Polish solar financing, ReNew loan, and green ammonia support top renewable updates

Virya Energy secured project financing from mBank and Bank Millennium for its 135 MWp Żabice solar park in Poland, with commercial operation expected in the second half of 2027. ReNew obtained a $100 million, 10-year facility from FMO to support renewable projects under construction in India. ADB and Japan signed financing agreements for AM Green Ammonia’s planned 1.1 million-tonne-per-year green ammonia facility in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, including a $100 million loan.
Virya Energy’s 135 MWp Żabice photovoltaic park in Lower Silesia will be built and operated with project finance from mBank and Bank Millennium. Dentons advised the lenders on documentation, due diligence and regulatory issues; commercial operation is targeted for the second half of 2027, while financing terms and offtake details remain undisclosed.
ReNew Solar Power received a 10-year, $100 million rupee facility from FMO under India’s Voluntary Retention Route for projects under construction. ReNew’s clean-energy portfolio stood at 20.5 GW, including 1.7 GW/6.2 GWh storage, with 6.4 GW module and 2.5 GW cell capacity. ADB and Japan also backed AM Green Ammonia’s Kakinada project with a $100 million JICA-financed loan.
The Polish solar financing could support local construction jobs and cleaner electricity in Lower Silesia, while ReNew’s facility may help speed projects under construction in India. The green ammonia loan may affect workers and suppliers around Kakinada as a gas-based complex is converted, and future offtake decisions could shape whether phase two proceeds. Households and industries in these regions may see gradual energy-supply and employment effects, though outcomes depend on construction timelines, financing terms and demand.
