Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 Gets a Tighter Late-2027 Launch Target

Bandai Namco has narrowed Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3's release window to the second half of 2027, down from a broader 2027 date. Producer Masayuki Hirano said player feedback and survey results have already led to planned improvements and helped shape the launch timing. He added that the team may stay quiet for a while before its next update but intends to make 2027 a strong year for Dragon Ball game fans.
Bandai Namco has tightened Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3's arrival from a full-year 2027 target to the latter six months of that year. The multiplayer brawler follows the 2016 entry and was recently playable for IGN, which first tried it in June.
Producer Masayuki Hirano said fan responses and surveys have prompted talks with the development team and identified areas for improvement. He described the series as one shaped with players during launch and afterward, and said the team may pause updates before returning to support a strong 2027 for Dragon Ball games.
The narrower window may help fans plan purchases and reduce uncertainty, while a quieter communication period could test community patience. For Bandai Namco, the timing could shape holiday-season competition and post-launch support expectations. Players who invest in multiplayer games may be most affected, since launch timing and ongoing updates influence whether they and their friends adopt the game together.
