Saros Gets Free Zenith Update With Boss Rush and New Game Plus

Housemarque has released the free Zenith update for Saros, adding the Overlord Rush boss mode and an Eclipse Layers New Game+ option. The patch also introduces accessibility tools such as adjustable game speed, auto-fire, and motion-sensor aiming. Players can further customize runs with new protection and trial modifiers.
The free Zenith patch returns players to Carcosa. Its accessibility options include adjustable slow-motion combat, automatic firing at aimed enemies, motion-based aiming, and button remapping. New modifiers add ten gentler protection choices and ten tougher trial choices, such as converting Corruption into melee damage or requiring melee finishes on stunned foes.
Veterans unlock Eclipse Layers after the campaign; Armor Matrix nodes open harder Carcosa variants. Runs need a modifier threshold, use 25 Trials, and can earn a growing golden Crown plus Visions lore. Overlord Rush, accessed through Passage’s Primary Unit, offers ranked boss gauntlets—Incursion, Ascension, and Totality, which includes all eight Overlords—with weapon-filtered leaderboards.
The update could broaden Saros’s audience by giving players with motor, timing, or reaction difficulties more ways to manage combat, while optional modifiers may let less experienced players participate without removing challenge for others. Competitive leaderboards and New Game+ content may extend engagement for dedicated players and sustain online discussion, though the social effect will likely depend on how accessible these tools prove in practice and how communities use the rankings.
