Bitcoin Holds Near $83K as ETF Demand Stays Strong

Bitcoin traded near $82,900 and remained stuck around the $83,000 level even as U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs took in $524.8 million in one day. BlackRock's IBIT and Fidelity's FBTC led the inflows, attracting $235 million and $212.7 million respectively. An analyst said about 921,000 BTC had accumulated near that price, a concentration that may shape the market's next move.
U.S. spot Bitcoin funds drew a net $524.8 million in the latest session. BlackRock’s IBIT added $235 million and Fidelity’s FBTC $212.7 million, while GBTC, BITB, ARKB, BTC and EZBC recorded smaller positive totals; the rest had no net gain. Bitcoin changed hands near $82,900.
Analyst Murphy estimated roughly 921,000 BTC had clustered around $83,000, close to one million, after a similar buildup near 1.05 million on August 3. He noted possible Coinbase wallet consolidation and said price had returned to a low-volume zone after slipping below $83,000 on October 8. Glassnode framed the wider range at $80,000–$87,000.
The standoff near $83,000 may matter most to ETF holders and corporate treasuries that bought around $80,000, since a break lower could turn paper gains into losses and weaken demand for crypto-linked products. Retail savers and payment users could feel indirect effects through market sentiment and product fees, while Circle’s digital-dollar and AI work may influence longer-term financial applications. The outcome is uncertain; a large concentration near one price can amplify moves in either direction.
