Ukrainian forces report strikes on Russian electronic warfare and drone control sites

Ukraine's General Staff said Ukrainian forces hit a Russian electronic warfare station near Gulevka in Bryansk Oblast and struck other military sites in Zaporizhzhia and Luhansk oblasts. The targets included a command and observation post, a drone control point, and a logistics depot, according to the statement. The military said disabling electronic warfare and drone control assets would help Ukraine use drones more effectively, while the full damage was not immediately known.
Ukraine’s General Staff reported operations on Oct. 21 and overnight into Oct. 22 against a Russian electronic-warfare site near Gulevka in Bryansk Oblast. It also listed a command-and-observation post near Vyshneve and a drone-control point near Lankove, both in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, plus a logistics depot near Zolotarivka in Luhansk Oblast.
The military said disabling electronic-warfare and drone-control assets would help Ukraine use drones more effectively and reduce Russia’s ability to attack Ukrainian positions and front-line communities. The extent of damage remained unclear. Monitoring channels also reported Ukrainian drone strikes on Lipetsk and a weapons plant in Serpukhov, Moscow Oblast.
The reported strikes may affect front-line communities by potentially reducing Russian drone attacks, though the immediate practical effect is uncertain because damage assessments were not available. Ukrainian drone operators could benefit if Russian electronic-warfare and control nodes are degraded. Residents in targeted Russian regions may face disruption, while broader escalation risks could shape public perceptions of safety. These are possible implications, not confirmed outcomes.
