Nintendo Reveals Zelda 40th Anniversary Panini Card Set

Nintendo has announced a Legend of Zelda trading card set with Panini for the franchise's 40th anniversary. The collection will feature artwork from across the series and comes with a special album for collectors. It is one of several anniversary releases, alongside an Ocarina of Time remake and a live-action movie.
Nintendo has confirmed a Zelda: Master Collection card series made with Panini, the company known for World Cup sticker albums. The cards will use art from across the franchise and can be stored in a companion album. Early images show classic Link, Skyward Sword’s Zelda, Tears of the Kingdom’s Link, and an Ocarina of Time scene. Nintendo says the set will reference every mainline Zelda title, but release timing and total card count remain unannounced.
Other 40th-anniversary items include an Ocarina of Time remake due next month, a live-action film planned for 2027, a special Switch 2 console, a 1,750-piece LEGO Link & Epona set for spring 2027, and two Amiibo that unlock N64-style masks in the remake.
The card set may deepen collector interest around Zelda’s anniversary, drawing longtime fans, casual players, and trading-card hobbyists into stores and online marketplaces. Limited physical collectibles could create scarcity and resale pressure, affecting buyers who miss initial stock. The broader anniversary slate may also boost engagement with Nintendo’s ecosystem, though the actual social impact will depend on pricing, availability, and whether the cards reach ordinary fans rather than resellers.
