Apple Releases Second watchOS 27.2 Release Candidate

Apple has provided developers and public beta testers with a revised watchOS 27.2 release candidate. The update expands Siri's AI capabilities, including recalling past conversations and using more personal context, and adds support for several more languages. It also includes bug fixes and security improvements, with a public launch expected next week.
The revised watchOS 27.2 release candidate arrived four days after the initial one. Developers and public beta participants can install it via Apple Watch Settings or the Watch app on iPhone.
Siri's updated capabilities include remembering earlier exchanges, using more personal sources such as Messages photos, Calendar attendees, voicemails, and Safari history or Reading List from the phone, and responding faster on the watch. A phone-based Excluded Apps control limits what Siri, Search, and suggestions may access. French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish are added, though the feature remains unavailable in the EU and mainland China.
The update may affect Apple Watch owners who rely on voice assistants, especially multilingual users gaining broader access and people who want quicker, context-aware answers. Because Siri can draw on messages, calendar, voicemail, and browsing data, users may need to review the new Excluded Apps control to manage privacy expectations. The regional limits could leave some consumers outside the feature rollout, potentially widening differences in assistant availability.
