Immatics Highlights Early Responses for Two PRAME-Targeted Therapies

Immatics reported early-stage results for IMA402 and IMA203CD8 in advanced solid tumors at ESMO 2026. In the IMA402 Phase 1b study, melanoma patients with high PRAME expression had a 32% confirmed response rate, 12.5-month median response duration, and 91% one-year survival; IMA203CD8 produced a 55% confirmed response rate in 20 gynecologic cancer patients. Neither therapy had treatment-related deaths, and Immatics plans combination and pediatric studies in 2027.
Immatics presented early ESMO 2026 findings for two PRAME-focused treatments. Among high-PRAME melanoma patients in the IMA402 bispecific Phase 1b trial, 32% had confirmed responses, median response duration was 12.5 months, and one-year survival was 91%; the recommended Phase 2 dose efficacy set included 40 patients.
The IMA203CD8 cell therapy Phase 1 study found confirmed responses in 55% of 20 gynecologic cancer patients treated at clinically relevant doses, with median response duration of 8.4 months. No treatment-related deaths occurred; low-grade cytokine release syndrome was noted. Immatics plans 2027 combination and pediatric studies.
These early results could matter most to patients with advanced melanoma or gynecologic cancers and their clinicians, who may gain another option to discuss if larger trials confirm benefit. Hospitals and researchers may face added demand for PRAME testing and specialized cell-therapy or bispecific infrastructure. Payers and health systems could weigh costs and access if these treatments advance, while families may focus on survival and quality-of-life trade-offs. Because data are early, societal effects remain uncertain.
