Children's Star Ms. Rachel's First LP Sparks Retail Frenzy with Exclusive Vinyl Pressings
Children's entertainer Ms. Rachel, known for her YouTube and TikTok presence, will drop her debut album 'I'm So Happy' on Sept. 25. The 23-track record, featuring her husband Mr. Aron, includes nursery rhymes and original songs from her 'Songs for Littles' series. Retailers including Amazon, Urban Outfitters, Walmart, and Target are offering exclusive vinyl variants, with the album already topping Amazon's bestseller list.
The album’s 23 tracks blend traditional nursery rhymes with original material from the “Songs for Littles” series, performed by Rachel Accurso and her husband, Aron. Retail exclusives include a yellow Amazon disc with a pull-out book and poster, a 500-copy white Urban Outfitters pressing, and a translucent orange Walmart version. Target also offers its own variant. The lead single, “I Love a Rainbow,” is described as a bossa nova piece about colors. The project arrives via Sony Music’s Magic Star imprint, and a pink suitcase-style record player is being marketed alongside the release.
This release could signal a broader shift in how children’s media monetizes physical formats, tapping into both nostalgic vinyl culture and parent-driven purchasing. The album’s early bestseller status suggests strong demand from millennial caregivers who already follow Ms. Rachel online. Exclusive variants may intensify collector behavior, potentially normalizing premium-priced children’s records. However, the impact remains limited to a niche audience, and streaming will likely dominate actual listening habits among families.
