Lenovo's new Yoga laptops bring NVIDIA's RTX Spark to on-device AI and gaming

Lenovo announced the Yoga Pro 9n and Yoga 9n 2-in-1, both powered by NVIDIA's ARM-based RTX Spark chip. The Pro 9n offers up to 128GB unified memory and a 15.3-inch OLED display, while the 9n features a 16-inch touchscreen with up to 64GB RAM. Pricing and availability were not disclosed.
The Yoga Pro 9n pairs NVIDIA’s ARM-based RTX Spark with up to 128GB unified memory, targeting on-device AI workloads and creative tasks. Its 15.3-inch OLED screen supports a variable refresh rate from 48Hz to 165Hz, while a 92.5Wh battery and 140W adapter handle power demands. The Yoga 9n 2-in-1 offers a 16-inch touchscreen OLED, up to 64GB memory, and a 99.9Wh battery. Both include haptic trackpads with pen support, multiple USB ports, and HDMI. Lenovo also introduced two Android 17 tablets: the Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2 with a Snapdragon 8 Elite and 4K display, and the lower-cost Yoga Tab Gen 2 with a MediaTek Dimensity 9500s.
These devices could shift how consumers balance portability with heavy AI and gaming needs, potentially reducing reliance on cloud processing. Creatives and developers may gain more local control over data-intensive tasks, while gamers might expect desktop-like performance in thinner laptops. However, pricing uncertainty and component volatility could limit early adoption, and the ARM-based architecture may require software ecosystem adjustments, affecting app compatibility and user experience for mainstream buyers.
