Xiaomi confirms worldwide 2026 release for 18 Pro phones
Xiaomi has confirmed that its Xiaomi 18 Pro series will be released globally in 2026, soon after its Chinese debut. CEO Lei Jun said on X that the Pro models will go international this year. The lineup includes the Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max, with Snapdragon chips, dual 200MP cameras, large batteries, and China pricing starting at ¥5,999 and ¥6,999.
Xiaomi's CEO used social media to say the 18 Pro line will reach international markets during 2026, shortly after its China introduction. The range comprises the 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max, with the latter using a faster Snapdragon variant and a larger 6.9-inch AMOLED panel; the standard model has a 6.4-inch screen.
Both phones feature two 200MP rear cameras plus 50MP ultra-wide sensors, secondary rear displays, and a privacy-screen feature similar to one seen on Samsung's Galaxy S26 Ultra. Batteries are 7,000mAh and 8,500mAh, with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. Chinese prices begin at ¥5,999 and ¥6,999, though overseas costs are expected to be higher.
A faster global rollout could give more shoppers outside China an alternative to established premium Android flagships, potentially increasing competition on camera, battery, and charging features. Frequent travelers and early adopters may benefit from earlier access, while carriers, retailers, and rival brands could adjust launch timing or promotions in response. Higher overseas pricing may temper adoption, and privacy-display technology reaching more phones could influence how people use screens in public spaces.
