Renewable Deals Roundup: ERCO Funding, ACEN Stake Sale, NTPC Battery Tender

Finnfund and Proparco committed $33 million to Colombian clean-energy platform ERCO as part of a larger equity round, supporting solar and battery expansion with an EU guarantee. ACEN completed the first stage of selling a 10% voting interest in its 250 MW Tejorupa solar project in Rajasthan, part of a planned divestment of up to 49%. NTPC reissued a tender for a 400 MWh battery storage system at the Mouda thermal power station after ending the previous contract.
Finnfund and Proparco pledged $33 million to ERCO, part of a broader equity raise headed by Augment Infrastructure Managers and backed by an EU guarantee. The Colombian platform, founded in 2012, has completed over 2,000 solar projects and works on development, engineering, construction, power generation, and digital retail. It aims for roughly 1 GWp of added solar by 2030 while growing battery storage.
ACEN closed the first phase of Diamond India Renewables One’s entry into its 250 MW Tejorupa solar project in Rajasthan on September 23, giving an initial 10% voting interest; up to 49% may be divested. NTPC re-tendered a 400 MWh battery system at Mouda after cancelling the prior contract, with bids due October 22, 2026.
These moves may affect Colombian and Indian electricity users, project developers, investors, and grid operators. ERCO’s expansion could add solar and storage capacity in a hydro-reliant system, potentially improving resilience. ACEN’s stake sale may free capital for other projects, while NTPC’s battery re-tender could support flexibility at a thermal site. Local communities and ratepayers might see indirect effects through construction jobs, reliability, or power costs, though outcomes depend on implementation.
