Major Solar Contractor Secures Large-Scale Rajasthan Project Contract

A renewable energy contractor has won a substantial contract to construct a 500 MW solar facility in Rajasthan, with project completion expected within 12 months. The work encompasses full engineering, procurement, installation and grid connection infrastructure across a sprawling solar park development. The contractor simultaneously advanced a separate wind-solar hybrid venture in Gujarat involving combined capacity of approximately 77 MW.

KPI Green Energy Limited has secured a substantial engineering and construction contract valued at approximately Rs 20.25 billion to build a 500 MW solar installation in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The undertaking encompasses the full spectrum of project development activities, from initial design and engineering phases through to final commissioning and grid integration. The facility represents one component of a larger 5,000 MW solar park initiative being developed in the region, with completion targeted within a 12-month timeframe following site transfer.

In addition to this major assignment, the contractor has also received preliminary approval for a hybrid renewable venture in Gujarat combining wind and solar generation. This second project would integrate 33.6 MW of wind capacity with approximately 43 MW of solar generation capability, developed under a captive power arrangement for a private entity.
