Nick Valensi, Aziya, and Mr Hudson Share New Single 'Scream Your Name'

Nick Valensi of the Strokes, producer Mr Hudson, and singer-songwriter Aziya have released 'Scream Your Name,' the second single from the new label Sick. Aziya described the track as an ode to the push and pull of an unhealthy relationship, set against thumping rhythms and distorted guitar. The label's first single, 'PULS.zip,' arrived in September.
“Scream Your Name” marks the second track issued by Sick, the label started by Carré Callaway—also known as Queen Kwong—alongside Darian Zahedi and Nick Hinman. Its debut release, “PULS.zip,” appeared in September and paired IDLES’ Lee Kiernan with Tokyo artist RIS-707.
The new song unites Strokes guitarist Nick Valensi, producer Mr Hudson, and Aziya. Aziya has said the studio session was intentionally open-ended, and that the lyrics examine a damaging romance while still aiming for a playful, ironically enjoyable feel. She pictured the music as a rising tension that builds until the relationship either ends or continues.
The single may draw attention to Sick as a new label and to its cross-scene collaborations, potentially benefiting fans of the Strokes, Aziya, Mr Hudson, and IDLES-adjacent listeners. It could also encourage more genre-blurring partnerships between established rock musicians, producers, and emerging vocalists. For listeners, the song’s portrayal of turbulent relationships may resonate emotionally, though its impact will likely depend on playlist and media uptake.
