D&D's Star Wars Crossover Arrives in 2027

Wizards of the Coast has shared more information about a Dungeons & Dragons crossover with Star Wars scheduled for 2027. The tabletop RPG has already had a busy 2026 with releases like Ravenloft: The Horrors Within and Arcana Unleashed, and a World of Warcraft crossover is set for November 17. Additional Star Wars crossover details are being teased.
Wizards of the Coast has outlined the first Star Wars tabletop product: Tyro Squadron: Adventures. It casts players as Rebel operatives opposing the Empire in the original trilogy era. A dedicated rulebook is also planned, though its contents remain undisclosed. Further reveals are set for Star Wars Celebration in April 2027.
The crossover follows a packed 2026 for D&D, including Ravenloft: The Horrors Within and Arcana Unleashed, plus a World of Warcraft tie-in dated November 17. Observers may expect Star Wars-inspired classes, species such as Wookiees, and weapons like blasters and lightsabers translated into D&D's fantasy framework.
The crossover could draw Star Wars fans into tabletop role-playing and give existing D&D players a new setting to explore. Game stores, organizers, and publishers may see added interest in related books, accessories, and events. If the adaptation handles iconic elements carefully, it may encourage more licensed crossovers, though its broader cultural reach will likely depend on how accessible and well-supported the final rules prove to be.
