Apple TV 4K and HomePod Mini Set to Arrive October 30

Mark Gurman reported that the next Apple TV 4K, equipped with an A19 chip, and the next HomePod mini, equipped with an S10 chip, will launch on Friday, October 30. He said both devices will reach customers and stores that day. Apple is expected to reveal them at its October 13 "Welcome home" event, where it will also introduce the HomeView smart home hub, which may ship around mid-November.
According to Mark Gurman's Power On newsletter, the refreshed Apple TV 4K will use an A19 processor, while the HomePod mini will carry an S10 chip. Both are slated to reach buyers and retail locations on Friday, October 30.
Apple is anticipated to unveil these products during an October 13 event called "Welcome home." That same presentation is expected to introduce HomeView, a new smart-home hub. Gurman's sources indicate HomeView may ship around mid-November, though that timing remains subject to change.
The refreshed media player and speaker could appeal mainly to households already using Apple devices, offering faster performance and tighter integration. A dedicated HomeView hub may encourage more people to link lights, sensors, and appliances, affecting accessory makers and app developers as well. If adoption grows, everyday routines around entertainment, climate, and security may become more automated, though benefits will depend on price, privacy safeguards, and whether users trust always-connected home technology.
