Fourth iOS 27.2 developer beta arrives alongside iPadOS test build

Apple has provided developers with the fourth iOS 27.2 beta, one week after the third beta. The update includes a redesigned Health app with Insight and Longevity tabs, as well as additional Siri AI languages. It is expected to launch after the iPhone Duo release and is also required for the new HomeView.
Apple has issued a fourth developer beta for iOS 27.2, arriving seven days after the prior test version. A matching iPadOS 27.2 beta was also released. Developers enroll through Settings, General, Software Update, then choose the iOS 27 developer beta.
The build adds a reworked Health app with Insight and Longevity sections, plus more Siri AI languages. Apple's decision to test 27.2 before 27.1 may relate to keeping iPhone Duo capabilities under wraps; that device is set for October 23. The 27.2 release is also needed for the new HomeView.
The beta cycle could mainly affect developers and early adopters, who may need to test compatibility before release. Expanded Health tools and additional Siri languages might make health tracking and voice assistance more accessible to broader groups. Because iOS 27.2 is required for HomeView, smart-home users may face pressure to update soon after the iPhone Duo arrives. The staggered 27.1 and 27.2 timing could also shape expectations around which features ship first, though most consumers will likely wait for stable releases.
