Ericsson’s Q3 2026 report shows the South East Asia, Oceania and India market area reached SEK 8.78 billion in net sales, up from SEK 7.09 billion a year earlier. Organic growth was 25%, the strongest among Ericsson’s market areas. India ranked as its second-largest country market year to date, contributing 5% of quarterly group net sales.
Regional Networks sales rose 46% to SEK 6.48 billion, helped by project delivery timing in India and South East Asia. Cloud Software & Services slipped to SEK 2.29 billion amid project phasing. Sequentially, regional sales climbed 63% from SEK 5.40 billion, with Networks up 87%. From January 2027, the area will merge with North East Asia into Market Area Asia-Pacific.
Stronger Ericsson sales tied to Indian network deployments may support faster mobile broadband and 5G upgrades, potentially benefiting consumers, businesses and public services that rely on better coverage. Telecom operators, equipment suppliers and skilled workers could see more project activity, while regional restructuring may reshape roles. The scale of India’s market also means its infrastructure choices could influence how quickly advanced connectivity reaches smaller cities and rural areas, though actual outcomes will depend on operator investment and adoption.
