Legora, which builds AI tools for legal workflows, raised a $550 million Series E round that values it at $8.8 billion. The company said its annual recurring revenue has surpassed $200 million, up from $100 million earlier this year. Atreides Management led the round, with participation from Baron Capital, Bessemer Venture Partners, General Catalyst, Menlo, and others; Legora plans to expand in North America.
Legora, which develops artificial intelligence for legal work, disclosed a $550 million Series E on Wednesday, putting its valuation at $8.8 billion. Its tools help legal workers handle and streamline job-related processes as the field moves from AI helpers to AI services that carry out tasks.
Atreides Management led the round, with Baron Capital, Bessemer Venture Partners, General Catalyst, Menlo, and others participating. Legora intends to grow in North America. In April, it announced a $50 million extension to a $550 million Series D at a $5.6 billion valuation, when ARR was $100 million; ARR now exceeds $200 million. Rival Harvey raised $550 million at a $15.5 billion valuation a month earlier.
Legora’s growth could affect legal professionals and their clients by making document review and routine workflows faster and potentially cheaper. If adoption spreads, smaller firms and in-house teams may gain access to tools once limited to larger budgets, while lawyers may need to adapt to new oversight and verification duties. Clients could see changes in cost and service speed, though outcomes may depend on how carefully firms validate AI outputs.
