Cavco Woodburn Debuts 392-Sq-Ft Tiny Home With Covered Porch Option

A new tiny home model from Cavco Woodburn, called the Cascadia Value, offers 392 square feet across a 35-foot by 11-foot layout. It includes a living area, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and loft, and sits on a quad-axle trailer with a metal roof. An optional covered porch can extend the overall length past 40 feet.
Cavco Woodburn, a Cavco Homes division, has added the Cascadia Value tiny house. The 35-by-11-foot model offers 392 square feet with a living area, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and loft. It sits on a quad-axle trailer and has a metal roof; slate blue-grey lap siding gives it a residential look rather than an RV appearance.
An optional covered porch can extend total length past 40 feet, with pressure-treated timber or cedar railings and steps sheltered by the roof overhang. The kitchen has an L-shaped layout, cream-white Shaker cabinets, faux-marble laminate counters, a double-basin stainless sink, and standard appliances. The main-floor bedroom includes storage and a walk-in closet; the loft lacks built-in storage.
The Cascadia Value may appeal to downsizers, remote workers, retirees, and small households seeking lower-cost, movable housing. Its compact size and optional porch could make it suitable for backyard cottages, vacation properties, or accessory dwelling uses where local rules allow. Manufacturers and campground or park operators might also see demand. However, trailer-based homes may still face zoning, financing, and utility-hookup hurdles, so its broader impact could depend on local acceptance and infrastructure.
