Solar, storage and grid financing deals advance across Chile, India and Brazil

Verano Energy obtained $187 million in green financing for a Chilean solar-and-battery project, which pairs 123 MWp of PV with a 120 MW/600 MWh storage system and will use Sungrow equipment. Fourth Partner Energy raised ₹750 crore from Tata Capital Cleantech Finance for a Maharashtra hybrid plant combining 300 MWp solar, 50 MW wind and 750 MWh of batteries, expected to supply over 630 million units yearly. Neoenergia signed an R$857 million green loan with the European Investment Bank to upgrade its Elektro distribution network in São Paulo and Mato Grosso do Sul.
Verano’s Observatorio project in Marchigüe pairs 123 MWp solar with a 120 MW/600 MWh battery, using Sungrow batteries and inverters. MUFG arranged the $187 million financing; the five-hour storage is meant to improve dispatch flexibility, and no commissioning date was disclosed.

These financings may accelerate renewable and grid projects and could affect electricity users, corporate buyers and suppliers.在 India, data centres and other corporate customers could gain more renewable supply; in Chile, added storage may support more flexible dispatch. In Brazil, more than three million Elektro customers may see grid upgrades, while renewable generators could find additional connection capacity. Construction and maintenance activity could also involve local workforces, though results depend on delivery and operation.
